all volunteers. If you have skills that would be useful

SOFA works with volunteers and with people who are on the
government’s New Deal placements.We also offer various Training
Opportunities.
Latest Staff Vacancies:
All vacancies for paid staff will be advertised on our
website and in local newspapers.
We ensure that equal opportunities procedures are followed
by producing a Job Description, Person Specification and
Application form for each vacancy. Applicants who fit the
Person Specification are then invited to meet the Chief
Executive and some members of the Board of Trustees for an
interview.
Volunteering Opportunities:
We offer supportive work experience placements and
volunteering in administration, warehousing and van
delivery. Each trainee or volunteer has an individual personal
development plan.
We currently need:
- People who enjoy working in a team
to move furniture around our warehouse and to
help loading our van.
- People who could drive our Ford Tranist Luton type of
van (you don't necessarily need to be able to lift furniture
as others could do that)
- People who would like to sell furniture (particularly on
Thursday afternoons.)
- People who are able to be a buddy to trainees who need
extra support with English or with computers. (Please
be aware that we will do a Criminal Records Bureau check
before you take up this role.)
You can volunteer for as long or as short a time as you
prefer and you are welcome to Contact Us about volunteering
vacancies any time. Then we will arrange for you to come
to meet us and for you to fill in a short application
form. |
