Explanatory notes:

As part of our recruitment process, we ask you to provide the relevant information requested in this form.

• assess your potential suitability for volunteering at SOFA
• contact you to discuss the progress of your application and start date
• to assess the effectiveness of our recruitment strategies.

The reason we collect this information in the first instance is so that we can:-

NB: if we are unable to offer you an immediate position we will retain your information securely for 6 months from the date on your application form, thereafter we will destroy it securely.

 

If a position is offered to you and you accept it, we will retain this form until 6 months after your leaving date in order that we can:

• contact either yourself or your emergency contact should this ever be required
•      advise of potential opportunities should you wish to return to us within 6 months of your leaving date
•      demonstrate that we have taken adequate checks to ensure that non UK citizens have eligibility to volunteer with us in the capacity in which you have applied. Anyone who is already in the UK and wants to volunteer must check their visa or entry clearance conditions to ensure they are allowed. However, someone who is in the UK on a visitor or student visitor visa is not allowed to volunteer.

Personal information contained within this form is not shared externally. It is kept securely by the resource department and may be shared with your prospective line manager.

All information is kept in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) that supersedes the Data protection directive (directive 95/46/EC) of 1995.
